Meet Russell, a 1-year-old neutered male who is looking for his forever home! Russell is a playful, energetic pup with a heart full of love. He arrived at the shelter on February 6, 2025, and has been thriving in foster care since February 19, 2025. Russell loves to run, play, and snuggle. His favorite activities include chasing sticks (heâs always on the lookout for the biggest one) and leaning into your legs for some much-needed attention. While he's still working on some basic manners, like not pulling on the leash and waiting for his food, he's a quick learner and eager to please. With some patience and structure, he will continue to improve!Russell is a happy, social dog who enjoys the company of other dogs, though his playstyle can be a bit rambunctious at timesâhe loves to wrestle and play, but itâs something that can be worked on with training and proper exercise. He does have a high prey drive and will chase small animals, so heâs best suited for a home without livestock or other small animals. Russell is potty trained, crate trained, and responds to his name when he feels like itâthough heâs not afraid to give a loud bark when he misses his favorite person! While heâs not a fan of car rides and needs help getting into the vehicle, heâs an affectionate, cuddly dog who just wants to be loved. Russell would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of exercise, love, and structure, and he promises to repay you with endless affection and a big, happy smile.
