Meet Jack! Hi, my name is Jack, though my foster family affectionately calls me Jackjack! I am a year and a half old blue heeler mix who is looking for my forever home. I was found as a stray and temporarily housed at a farm where I got along well with everything and everyone except their chickens! While I get along well with children and other dogs, we do not think I would do well with cats due to this. I also think older kids may be a better fit for me as I am very active. In my foster home I am currently with 2 children and 3 other dogs and get along splendidly with all of them. I love to play with toys and can jump really high for treats! My foster mom says I would make a great agility dog. I don’t know what that is, but it sounds like it could be fun. I am very food motivated and aim to please. I am house trained and will go to the door to let you know I need to relieve myself. I do not like the crate much so we are working on that. I sleep through the night in it, but during the day I don’t really like to be in there, I would much rather be out with my humans and fur siblings. I am also working on leash manners and learning to not pull as much while walking. My new home should continue to work on this with me. I am up to date on all required vaccinations and already microchipped and neutered, I am ready to go to my forever home. If you think I would be a great addition to your family, please apply at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt. Jack will be available for adoption on or after February 16th with Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale PA KL #16182
