Good with cats: unknown Current on vaccinations: Yes Foster location: Weyauwega Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Adoption includes Certified Vet Inspection, and prior vetting paperwork. Bio: Our Precious Juno had a rough start in life but you wouldn't know based on her happy go lucky demeanor. Dont even get us started on her ears , or lack of! She is guessed to be around 4 years old but has very puppy like behaviors. Juno was found roaming the streets of Texas- she tried getting into a yard of someone who had a few dogs as she wanted to play. Thankfully they began feeding her and our partners jumped in to help! Juno made her way to Wisconsin and is doing great! She loves having several meals a day to add some weight - this girl loves food! She's a dream in her kennel, loves playing with other dogs and kids.
We had some concerns with the amount and looks of her "business" plus being so thin we decided to conduct some lab work. Juno was diagnosed with EPI - Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. What ??? Her pancreas isn't digesting /absorbing nutrition normally thus the weird and body condition. Thankfully it's easy to manage but unfortunately life long. We are thankful this was caught so we can get her on the road to recovery.
How does this change Junos forever home ?
Juno will need a home that understands the importance of her treatment plan and can afford the following:
-ZD low fat (a prescription, rather pricey kibble)
-pancreved powder (pricey pancreas powder on top her food daily)
- daily basic b12 vitamin (cheaply purchased at walmart)
This is a life long requirement to regulate and aid her pancreas in protein absorption. This doesn't affect her lifestyle as she still loves to play, run and of course
