Say hello to Zippy! Purebred Jack Russell terrier is looking for a home with no other dogs. Zippy is a fun, confident little guy who has never met a stranger. He walks well on the leash and does great on car rides. He would love to go on your errand runs with you! He also loves to play and will keep fetching as long as someone is throwing. The ZOOM with Zippy is not just a like or preference, it is a physical need! He has created his own figure-8 track in our yard where he goes to wear himself out. He is very adventurous when out on walks and loves to climb obstacles. We think he would be an incredible agility dog. When he eventually winds down, he is a super snuggler. He sleeps in a crate at night and when we are away from home. Zippy plays okay with other dogs up to a certain point, but is not good with cats. He has never spent any time around children and we do not think he would do well with them. Small children are probably a no-go for Zippy.
Zippy will be two on June 11. He is still very much a puppy and needs guidance to know what is acceptable and appropriate behavior. He is okay with having a leash attached and will go where you want him to, but does not appreciate being pushed into going the direction you want him to go. He also does not like having his paws touched. We understand that this is typical Jack Russell behavior. He loves people and greets everyone with enthusiasm. He is able to form bonds instantly with people. Some breed experience with Jack Russell terriers would be a plus.
Zippy is good with other dogs until the other dog rejects his play demands and then he does not react well at all. He does not go in with aggressive intent, but it can quickly escalate to that. We think Zippy will do best in a home with no other pets.
Zippy's adoption fee is $150. PacoCorp Rescue performs background checks and home visits on all pet adoptions. Please email us today at PacoCorpRescue@gmail.com to set up a meet and greet with Zippy!
