Hi, meet Ziggy!  Ziggy is a 6-year-old, 18-pound Chihuahua/Dachshund mix.  Ziggy was  surrendered to Help A Dog Smile Rescue when his owners could no longer care for him. Ziggy is now in a wonderful foster home and is ready to find his forever home.  



 



Ziggy is a bit tentative when first meeting new folks.  He just needs a bit of time to warm up to folks.  Ziggy’s ideal forever home will be with a calm and patient female owner who understands that he needs time to feel safe and secure.  Once he trusts you, he will gladly lay beside you for tummy rubs and maybe even watch a Hallmark movie with you!  An adult home is probably the best fit for this guy as active kids or a busy household could be just too much for Ziggy.  Ziggy’s foster family has been working with Ziggy on housetraining and he is doing great. He has a routine and schedule that works for him.  As with all dogs, a new routine and environment may require a brush up on Ziggy’s house training skills.
