This gorgeous, special pup is “Wolf”, a 6 year old, 37 pound, Husky/American Eskimo cross. He is silly and playful, LOVES to run around in a large fenced yard and go for walks. Wolf is used to living as the only dog and living with someone who is home with him throughout the day. Wolf knows basic commands including “Sit”, “Lay Down”, “Give Paw”, “Wait”, “Gentle”, as well as “Stay” and “Leave It”, which he sometimes has selective hearing on. Wolf is very treat motivated.
Wolf requires a fenced yard, an experienced dog owner (best with women), who is going to be active with Wolf via walks, play time in a fenced yard, and maybe even going for runs/jogs. He is approved for adult and/or adult with teens households. We are hopeful that with this type of activity will ease his anxiety. Per Wolf’s owner, he has been attacked multiple times by unleashed dogs while on walks with her so Wolf has become reactive to dogs while on leash. Wolf LOVES to run around and play in the fenced yard too!
Wolf has good house manners, is house trained and crate trained. He easily goes into his crate when instructed when his foster mom leaves the house; he likes his crate and will choose to lay inside his crate including at night if he doesn’t lay next to the bed. Wolf has free reign in the home and he is allowed on the furniture. We also understand he’s very comfortable riding in the car. He enjoys chewing elk antlers, playing with balls, and is happy to destroy soft toys. His yummy treat is venison biscuits.
