DOG'S DESCRIPTION:
Looking for a furry companion who will bring joy, loyalty, and endless love into your home? Wadud could be the one for you! Wadud and his companion, Moses, came to us for rehoming, as their previous owner became ill and could no longer care for them. Moses has already found his forever home, now Wadud is ready to find his - don't make him wait!!
Say hello to Wadud, a 7-year-old white ball of fluff with a heart full of love and a little voice he’s not afraid to use! Wadud was a loyal companion to his previous owner, who sadly had to enter hospice care. Now, this sweet boy is looking for a new lap to cuddle on and a forever family to call his own.
And here’s a special note: Wadud’s name means "Lover" or "Affectionate" in Arabic—a perfect fit for a pup who lives to love and be loved in return.
Why You’ll Love Wadud:
Affectionate & Loyal – Loves snuggles and will happily claim your lap as his favorite spot.
The Perfect Balance – Just the right mix of calm, cuddly vibes and playful energy.
Social Butterfly (With a Bark!) – He’s a vocal guy, especially in his crate or when excited, but always friendly and full of charm.
Housetrained-ish – He was housebroken in his previous home but may need a gentle refresher in a new space.
Wadud thrives in a loving, patient home where he can be himself—talkative, affectionate, and deeply devoted. If you’re looking for a companion who will fill your home with warmth (and a few barks), Wadud just might be your perfect match.
Perfect Home: We feel that Wadud would do best in a single family home, due to his desire to use his voice.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee.
