***COURTESY POST – VONNEGUT NEEDS A HOME***
Meet Vonnegut – a 17-lb, 4-year-old neutered small terrier mix with a calm spirit, sweet eyes, and a deep love for sunshine and snuggles
Due to unexpected changes in life and health circumstances, Vonnegut’s current guardian is no longer able to provide the level of care he needs. They are seeking a loving, patient adopter who can give this special pup the consistency and support he deserves.
Vonnegut’s Ideal Day:– Lounging in the yard for hours, soaking up the sun– Snoozing nearby while you work or relax– Cuddling on the couch or quietly napping in his crate– Being near his people—as much as possible
Vonnegut is crate-trained, doesn’t bark, and is great with cats. He gets along well with other calm, similarly sized dogs. While he’s experienced some house training challenges in his current home, he was previously fully housetrained in a foster home, so he’s likely to succeed with routine and consistency. He sleeps through the night in his crate—sometimes with a little adorable snoring!
He does have some separation anxiety, so he'd do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. A quiet, calm environment with a secure yard and a gentle companion dog would be ideal.
Vonnegut also has a congenital deformity in one of his back legs, but he moves around comfortably on three and doesn’t require special medical care. Other than that, he’s very healthy.
This is a COURTESY POST. Umbrella of Hope does not have additional information about Vonnegut.
