Meet Trekkie – Your New Sidekick!

Say hello to Trekkie! We named him after the beloved Star Trek series because of his adorably pointy "Vulcan" ears – he's ready to boldly go wherever you go!

Trekkie is a 3-year-old Chihuahua with a heart as big as his ears. He’s mostly white with a soft tan patch on his back and weighs just 9.6 pounds – the perfect little lap companion.

This sweet boy had a rough start. He landed in a high-intake shelter where he was absolutely terrified, trembling nonstop and too scared to eat for days. But since moving into foster care, Trekkie has blossomed into a loving, gentle pup.

He’s house-trained, loves cuddles, and is happiest when he’s close to his person. While he has a calm and quiet nature, he will give a little bark if he hears something unusual – just doing his job as your pint-sized protector.

Trekkie would do best in a calm home with older, gentle children and someone who’s home often to help him continue building confidence. A fenced yard would be ideal so he can safely explore at his own pace. He enjoys the company of other dogs and sometimes joins in a friendly game of chase. He hasn’t been tested with cats but has done well around young puppies and even rabbits, showing no signs of a prey drive.

Oh – and he LOVES car rides. He’d be thrilled to ride along for all of life’s little adventures!
