Tonka is a 7 month old 40 pound lab mix. He was brought to the shelter after he had been shot in the face. After fighting infections and still having a bullet lodged in his head he is now ready for someone to show him what love really is. Tonka is shy at first and will need a family to love him and give him time to acclimate. He is kennel and leash trained and is good with dogs. He does think cats are okay toys due to him being a puppy. Tonka is very loving considering how he has suffered at the hands of a cruel human. He will make a wonder companion for any family. Please consider giving Tonka a home for the holidays.

     Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats. All pets are in a home environment cared for by a foster person who provides temporary care until the pet can be placed in a permanent home.
