About Toby Roby’s Breed: Miniature Pinscher
Don’t let the size fool you—Miniature Pinschers are bold, spirited, and confident little dynamos. Often nicknamed the “King of Toys,” Min Pins are lively, intelligent, and fiercely loyal. They love being involved in everything and thrive in homes where they can explore, play, and soak up attention. Their independent streak makes them both entertaining and a little headstrong, so consistency and understanding go a long way. These sleek, fearless pups bring big-dog energy in a compact frame.
Toby Roby’s Story & Personality:
Toby Roby is a senior gentleman with a strong personality and a heart that just needs the right person to love him as he is. He’s housetrained, respectful indoors, and good with other pets—except during meals, where he prefers to dine without interruption. Toby has some food guarding behavior and should only be adopted by someone familiar with managing that dynamic. Because of this, he’s best suited for an adult-only home.
His foster shares:
"Toby is a very sweet boy, but it takes him a little while to warm up. When it’s food time, he jumps up in the air until you set the bowl on the ground, then beware of approaching this little bugger! After meals he returns to his sweet self."
Outside of mealtime, Toby loves lounging on pillows, burrowing under covers, and being part of his person’s daily life. He does have hyperthyroidism, which is easily managed with medication and doesn’t slow him down one bit.
Toby Roby’s Perfect Home:
A calm, adult-only household
Someone familiar with food guarding behavior
A fenced yard or commitment to daily walks
A cozy home with soft spots to snuggle
A patient, loving adopter who respects his space—especially at mealtime
