Currently Living at: DC area foster home.
Tinkerbell is Looking For: When Disney axed the Tinkerbell character, she was like "meh, Peter was a pain to deal with anyway" and flew off to seek her forever family. She's got all that awesome young-dog energy and is eager to burn it by the side of her humans - long sniffy walks, romps in the park, all the adventures they can dream up! Her wings have vanished but that's ok - all the good smells are on the ground anyway! She would also like to explore all the toys to see what she likes best, make new pup pals, and get a cushy dog bed too. And to attend dog school to learn the ways of hew new species!
Most of all, though, she wants to know where she belongs, that she's safe and loved for all her days. Well away from Captain Hook and his crew too! In exchange she promises adoring gazes, tail wags, and loyal companionship. What do you say? Are you Tinkerbell's new chapter?
What My Foster Says About Me: Tinkerbell previously lived in a daycare/boarding facility and got walked daily by volunteers. Here are her Dogs Day Out reviews:
"Tinkerbell was walked locally around the Alexandria PetSmart riverfront area. She was such a fun dog! She has pup energy and wanted to nip a little, but was so excited to be with us (mom and three kids, ages 8, 12, & 14). She ran with us, picked up sticks to chew, and loved getting her head and belly rubbed. She loves to play and was very friendly!"
"Tinkerbell is an amazing dog. I hope she finds a home this weekend. She is smart, loving, playful with dogs and people, and great on leash. So easy."
"Don’t get in the way of her hind quarters when a person is in front of her. Tink has never met a human who wasn’t deserving of a vigorous tail wag. With such a short (low shedding!) coat, Tink does not like our current winter weather and may balk at going outside without a full-length fur coat (faux of course). Now 32 pounds (as of Petsmart scale) Tink sports a sleek physique and can afford to indulge in a few cookies and doggy salami as treats during obedience training."
"Walked this awesome girl this evening. Sweet, sits, walks great on a leash, sits, loves people, tail wags the whole time. Gives kisses. Very attentive and treat motivated. Will make some a great pet."
