Look at this little nugget! Oh my, how far this young man has come since arriving from California! Teeter (aka Shasta) has gone from a frightened and untrusting pooch to a pup that wants nothing but love. Teeter was scared of crates… now he sleeps in one (however he would love to sleep with his human - and does so very well). Teeter wouldn’t allow us to use a leash. Now he sits and waits for me to attach his leash for our daily walks! Teeter is a great walker! He’s not a fan of young men, so it seems. But he gets along well with my husband! And our dog! He is a barker - so if you want to feel protected, he’s your guyMeet Shasta AKA Teeter!! This little guy has made progress since his arrival from the fires in California. He is house trained- but will not tell you if he has to go outside… we just take our potty breaks through the day. HE HATES the Cold. He is a snuggler and wants to sleep with his human. He barks and growls when he hears noises unfamiliar to him. He is attached to me - and now loves my husband. He is scared of attaching a leash to him - but allows me to do so when he is next to me. He has become quite a good walker on the leash! He would not walk in one originally. He loves treats and his belly to be rubbed. He gets along with our dog and chases our cats (which they hate). He is okay with the crate. I have to put him in it and reward with treats but he does fine!He is 3-5 years old and 12 pounds, a chihuahua mix!This little guy is so darn cute!  Shasta is a 5 year old male chihuahua that came from a high kill shelter in California. Available dogs are met by pre-approved adopters ONLY after a match is made.The application is the first step.
