Meet
Shadow
, a stunning 14-year-old Alaskan Husky with a luxuriously thick tricolor coat and striking ice-blue eyes that will absolutely melt your heart. This lovely little grandma has all the classic husky beauty and brains, but with a calm, low-energy lifestyle that makes her an ideal companion for quieter households. She’s independent, in true husky fashion, yet warm, attentive, and easygoing - and just as easy to love! Shadow could be a wonderful big sister to any pups you may already have, as she gets along well with other gentle pups, especially enjoying the company of more laid-back dog friends - she might get a little bossy with the young whippersnappers! While she could use a spa day to freshen up her glorious coat - complete with bath, brush, and trim - she’s still absolutely gorgeous under all that overgrown fluff. Sweet, serene, and still sharp in spirit (even if her hearing isn’t what it used to be), Shadow is ready to grace her forever home with quiet love and timeless charm.
14 year old black and white Alaskan Husky
49 pound spayed female
May need the standard round of shots and preventatives before she can go home with you, but the shelter can likely help with this!
Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 4/15/25 as an owner surrender - poor Shadow’s family moved and unfortunately left her behind, despite having lived her whole life with them!
stunning little grandma of a pup, with a luxuriously long, thick tricolor coat and piercing bright blue eyes that will absolutely melt your heart
given her age and lower energy level, she has all the beauty and smarts of a husky, but no longer requires the intensive exercise that a younger husky might need
came in with another senior husky
independent spirit typical of the breed, but still very attentive to her people, with a warm and pleasant personality that makes her an easy fit into any household
also good with other pups, especially more gentle, dainty ones, she may get bossy with younger, rowdier dogs
needs a spa day with a bath, brush, and trim, and then she'll really shine - this girl is drop dead gorgeous under her overgrown, extra fluffy coat
may be a bit hard of hearing, which is understandable given her age
