Sage is a friendly, feisty, goofy, and happy pup who loves dogs, kids, and is doing great meeting new people. Despite her previous owners' claims, Sage is fully potty trained. She takes 2-3 bathroom breaks during workdays at the office and has had zero accidents. She figured out the dog door immediately and settles fairly quickly in her kennel, even though it's not her favorite place.
Sage enjoys car rides but needs to be secured due to occasional car anxiety. She's curious about the cat in a mostly harmless way—the cat isn't afraid of her and walks by regularly, sometimes getting chased but only ending in a playful nose boop.
She loves squeaky toys, balls, and kongs. Sage is gentle when taking food and isn't food aggressive, even when hands are near her food or when taking a bone away. She's genuinely a very sweet girl who tends to Velcro onto her person and is cautious of others. Sage has some separation anxiety, with occasional whining and barking, but she's working on being more independent.
As a puppy, Sage has been caught chewing her dog bed, towels, and tissues, so it's important to provide her with appropriate chew toys. She has pretty good leash manners but is stronger than she looks. And let's not forget her adorable corgi butt—she's a doll!
