Raina is an approximately 15 pound Cattle Dog puppy rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Georgia. Raina is a joyful, playful girl who moves between energetic play sessions
and naps
throughout the day. She is an intelligent problem solver but still is a little afraid to go down stairs lol. She is already retrieving a ball during play time
and she just loves to be outside.
She charges into puddles and tries to catch raindrops. Raina is now living with cats and has
learned to respect them. She sleeps through the night either with a human or in her crate.
Crates are not her favorite but she is continually being
exposed to crate training.
She is very attached to humans and will follow you and take her naps at your feet.
Raina plays well with other dogs and is eager to greet them on walks. However, she will need continued work with leash training.
She has shown some resource guarding
her high value treats like bully sticks from our dog but not her food and not people. Potty training is
underway but will need to be continued by the adopter.
Evenings are delightful with Raina as she just loves to snuggle and sleep on your lap while you are winding down for the day.
Like most puppies, Raina will jump up and sometimes nip when excited. She has been very good about corrections and is very food motivated.
A good home would be one where she does not have to spend most of the day in a crate and with humans who have an active lifestyle.
She will do well with or without a dog companion and will need a home without very small children.
She has had her first round of vaccines and since she is a puppy she will be adopted out with a spay contract.
