Meet Poppy (aka Popstar) – Your Hamburger-Loving, Pillow-Hogging, Zoomie Queen
Say hello to
Poppy
, affectionately known as
Popstar
—a scruffy little Poodle-Schnauzer mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for hamburgers (and Costco rotisserie chicken, obviously).
Poppy is small enough to scoop up with ease, but don’t be fooled—this girl’s got hops. She zooms up and down the stairs, launches onto the couch like a flying squirrel, and does the
cutest
little backup-run dance when she’s excited for food.
She’s not a cuddler, but she loves being near you—especially if she gets to sleep on the pillow next to you at night. She’s also a firm believer in sleeping in and will happily snooze until 9:30 AM.
When it comes to recall… well, she’s got her own style. Call her name and she
might
lift her head, glance in your direction—and then either go back to whatever she was doing or walk away entirely. She’s living life on
her
terms, thank you very much.
Poppy is wonderful with other animals—big dogs, little dogs, and even cats. She’d be a great fit for just about any home, including one with respectful kids who understand that she’s more of a chill companion than a lapdog. She only barks when you get home or when there’s hamburger involved—both totally justified.
Potty training is going great—she’s learning to signal when she needs to go out by doing a sweet little scratch at the door. She loves short walks and sniffing everything in sight, but she’s not in it for the cardio.
If you’re looking for a low-drama, high-personality pup who marches to the beat of her own drum (and maybe ignores you while doing it),
Poppy the Popstar
just might be your perfect match.

At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)
Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.
$50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.
Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.
We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.
Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.
Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!
