Meet Penny, an adorable 15 week old mystery mix weighing 6 lbs. She seems to be part Terrier part Chihuahua, with a a look of a tiny terrier!
Background: Penny was found as a stray, but sadly, no one came forward to claim her. When rescued, she was not feeling well at all, a trip to the vet and she bounced right back!
Personality: Penny’s sweet and affectionate nature is typical of a well loved playful pup. She adores meeting new people and is equally fond of running and playing with other dogs. After an active play session, she loves nothing more than snuggling up with her humans for some quality cuddle time.
Health: Penny is just starting her vaccine series and the rescue will pay for the rest of her vaccines. She will be spayed May15th and microchipped then too!
Training: Penny is almost house-trained, uses a dog door, and potty pads. Penny is a young gal and will benefit from basic obedience training.
Ideal Home: Penny would thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention and would love playmates. She
enjoys the company of other dogs and requires another playful canine companion or a very active home.
Bonus points if the family is home often—she is a young pup and doesn’t like to be left alone.
Adoption Requirements: Penny's adoption fee is $350. If you live in the Phoenix metro area and think she could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption application*: helpadogsmile.org/adoption-application
*Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up.
