Penny is an adorable 15 month-old Mini-Lab Retrieverish girl with a perfect blend of Aussie mixed in! She is friendly and fun, energetic and active and just wants LOTS of love and attention.
Penny has the typical energy level for her breed mixes. She enjoys walks which definitely help release some of her puppy energy and she does well on a leash. She can also be mellow and cuddly. Remi would be a great companion for a larger young male dog.
Penny loves to be petted, playing with toys, giving kisses and she knows basic commands like sit and paw. She is eager to please and we are confident that anyone that meets her will instantly love her. To know Penny is to love her; the family who found her wishes they had the lifestyle that would be good for her and they are very sad that they aren’t able to keep her.
Penny is also housebroken and crate-trained.
An ideal home for Penny would owners that are active and have time to continue training her since she’s still puppyish.
We hope to find Penny a male companion dog because she really loves being with other playful dogs. Penny and her foster-brother Aussies are bananas together and will play and wrestle as long as they’re allowed!
We want a home for Penny where there is time to dedicate to training, affection, exercise and love. We would still recommend crate-training for her safety and want owners who will be patient during her transition to her new home.

General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities.
We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.
