Animal Profile: Panther is an estimated 5-year-old 75lb neutered male black German Shepherd who was adopted a few years back from SBC but then picked up as a stray and not reclaimed. Despite temp testing well with everyone -- all dogs and people -- Panther was euth listed for space at the crowded city shelter. He has been pulled and we will share more info as we get to know him in foster care.






Foster Update: 





Panther is a true gentle giant who just wants to be with his people, giving and receiving affection. He's curious about the world and would thrive with a patient adopter who can show him everything he's been missing. People often comment on how handsome this stunning boy is!






Panther gets along great with my resident female dog and the other dogs he's met. He's happy to mingle and enjoys playing once he's comfortable. He also gives and takes corrections from other dogs appropriately. He shows no prey drive towards my cat, is simply curious, and respects her boundaries by leaving her alone when corrected.






We're currently working on basic training, such as learning his name, marker words, sit, down, and loose-leash walking. Panther will benefit from ongoing training and leash work, but he is catching on quickly.




This sweet guy is ready to find his person (or people) to enjoy naps, walks, and the finer things in life with!

 Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test and microchip with lifetime registration. Adoption fees benefit all the animals in our rescue, and may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
