OREO - 10 months old, 39 pounds, nervous with new people, dog social, very playful

Oreo is a petite pittie mix who hasn't been dealt the best hand in life so far and is very worried here in the shelter. Once you have earned his trust, however, he'll offer wiggles and tail wags!

I was introduced to Oreo outside and after a short period of time, he would approach me for treats and then quickly jump back.

He startles easily and is more skittish of men.

Although nervous with me in the yard, he still ran around in play, his gait like a baby deer. His puppy energy and puppy jumping will definitely come out when he gets used to you. And his ears! Straight up and the tips flop to the front.

Oreo is very dog social. He loves to run and chase. He is super fast and will do his best to engage other dogs to chase him. He is a hoot! He listens to corrections well and is an all around good boy. 

Oreo has become one of our tester dogs when we introduce new dogs into the playgroup, that's how good he is!

With humans, he just needs time. Time and obedience training will help him learn to trust you. And again, once he does, he is affectionate and loving.
