Meet Nadia Beetlejuice! Nadia is a 10 yr old, 8 lb unaltered Chihuahua Mix that came to us from Visalia ASD. She has been fully vaccinated, microchipped and is parasite free. After further examination by our vet and reviewing her lab work she determined Nadia has diabetes as well as multiple mammary masses and horrible teeth. Our first step is to get her diabetes under control. Nadia has been responding as well as expected with insulin injections twice a day. It's not ideal but it's vital to her well being. We have seen quite an improvement in her glucose levels in the month she has been on insulin. WIN WIN!! Our vet will continue to monitor her until she's stable enough to take the next step to getting her back to health. She is available for foster to adopt with the inclination that she remain on insulin for the rest of her life.
This is what her foster family has said about her. Nadia the sweetest senior gal you could ever meet. She knows how to use the doggy door but sometimes she still has accidents. She's getting better at it but she doesn't know how to tell us she needs to go out. She thinks Just Food For Dogs is the BESTEST food on the planet. If you know who the producer is, she is all for shooting a commercial. All she wants is paid in dog food and treats.
Nadia loves her person and would rather chill out watching soap operas than anything else. She loves going on short walks but doesn't want it to become a habit, lol. A home with seniors is preferred or adult children that know how to be around older dogs. She likes other dogs and tries to sneak their toys away from them.
If you would like to bring Nadia into your home and give her extra love and attention you can fill out the application using the link provided. www.beourpet.org/adoptions.php.
