Montana’s journey hasn’t been easy—she arrived at the shelter with a body score of just 1/9, but you’d never guess it by the way she greets everyone with a full-body wiggle and a happily wagging tail! This 5-year-old sweetheart has an unbreakable spirit and is ready to find a forever home where she can continue to thrive.

Montana is potty trained and crate trained and has some impressive manners—she knows sit, shake, down, and is usually pretty good at "drop it" (especially if there’s a treat involved—she’s very food motivated!). She also enjoys a good game of fetch and is dog-friendly.

She’s still working on her leash skills, but overall, she’s a great walking companion who loves soaking in all the sights, smells, and sounds of the outdoors. However, Montana would do best in a home without cats.
