Have dog experience and like adorable yet quirky? That’s our Mia! Mia adores her people and her furry foster siblings. If you love bully breeds and a fun personality, this 1.5 year old 52 pound girl is just for you!
Mia was originally a stray and then in a high kill shelter in OK when an animal welfare advocate decided she deserved a second chance to know life and love, so she made her way to Haven Animal Rescue Nebraska in Omaha. Although she has lived with children in her foster home and loves them, we prefer no children in the resident home as she does get the zoomies and may knock them down inadvertently.
In addition, we’d prefer dog savvy adopters that understand dog body language. When she wants alone time like a girl does sometimes, she will let you know. Kind of like a moody girlfriend...
Mia has lived with dogs from 35 pounds to over 150 pounds and has done great with all of them. She listens to dog cues and expects the same of them and to not get in her face. She does need a proper introduction with a nice long butt-sniff session. If you have a resident dog that doesn’t appreciate that, Mia is not for you. She absolutely adores her people, loves her chew bones and running around the yard, so she MUST go to a home with a fenced in backyard to get her hilarious zoomies out. She is crate and potty trained. Mia is also very smart, redirects easily and loves to learn. Spending time with her while working on tricks and commands is a great bonding experience!
This girl loves love and wants to be your best friend and lap dog. Just remember when she walks away, she wants down time, especially at night when she’s tired; however, just respect her space and worth all she loves she will give her you could want in a best friend! Mia is spayed, fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, inside only and ready to find her BFF! Please apply at www.HavenAnimalRescueNebraska.org
