McFly has had a bit of a rough start in life & could really use a champion. He was adopted as a puppy during Covid so he was rarely alone & he also didn’t meet many people outside of his home. This has resulted in a lack of socialization skills & suffering from some separation anxiety. His family later went through some turmoil with major life changes & ultimately made the decision to return him. The upheaval has left this sweet boy stressed & confused.Strengths: -Smart, loyal boy who learns quickly-Great with women-Very gentle with children-Sweet & affectionate with people he knows-Does well with most other dogs, but can be selective-Has lived with cats-100% housebroken-Loves car ridesNeeds improvement: -Suffers from separation anxiety-Is wary of men, strangers & anyone with grey hair until he gets to know them-Protective of his food & needs to be separated from other dogs at feeding times-Can sometimes be jealous of the attention given to another dog instead of him McFly needs some extra time to adjust to new people & situations. But if given some space, patience, love & a bucketload of treats, he will befriend anyone. He has made an impressive amount of progress since he’s been in our care and we have no doubt that with some more time & effort, he will blossom into the wonderful companion he’s meant to be! The thing that he wants the most and we’ve been struggling to provide is stability. He requires a safe space with someone he can rely on. Once his world stabilizes & he can relax, a lot of his issues will hopefully start to resolve.
