Five years old. 56 pounds at Intake. And she is a spayed female, which means she can go home the same day that she is adopted! MAYBELL is a very sweet girl. Staff has listed her as a possible Catahoula/Mountain Cur mix. She arrived at the shelter in mid June 2024 and hopes to get adopted quickly as the shelter is overloaded with adult dogs and puppies, as usual. This time of the year it is even worse than normal. So, the faster that the “already spayed and neutered” animals are adopted and able to leave, the less pressure pressure on the remaining animals and staff. MAYBELL is certainly doing her part to make that happen by showing her sweet face in her photos. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and leash with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt MAYBELL. Even better, take a dog crate with you in the car to the adoption appointment. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
