Every once in a while, a dog comes along who quietly captures your heart—and Marco Polo is one of those dogs. Just 6 months old and 40 pounds, this beautiful boy was found wandering with his sister Izzy, likely recently abandoned but still hopeful and trusting. A kind woman saw something special in them and brought them to safety—and now, Marco is patiently waiting for his forever family to see that same spark. From the moment he arrived, Marco has shown nothing but sweetness. He’s easygoing, affectionate, and happiest when he’s near people or playing with his sister. His temperament is calm and settled for such a young pup, and he seems to radiate gratitude—like he knows that love and kindness are finally within reach. He’s great with other dogs, gentle with children, and completely unbothered by the cats in his foster home. Marco is already crate trained, housebroken, and walking nicely on a leash—he’s doing everything he can to be the kind of dog someone dreams of bringing home. His foster mom sees it in his eyes—the way he watches the door or rests his head quietly on her lap—like he’s wondering if someone, somewhere, is thinking about him too. Wondering if a family will come and make him theirs. We know that family is out there. We know someone will see past the ordinary and recognize the extraordinary in this gentle, beautiful boy.
Marco is in Tennessee and can be adopted locally or transported to the Northeast. He’s ready to go—his bag is packed, and his heart is wide open.
If you feel the pull to give Marco the life he’s been waiting for, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Some hearts are just meant to find each other. Maybe Marco’s is meant to find yours.
