Louis is a beautiful German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix.He is an intelligent, young, active dog. He loves walks and hanging out with people. Given his breed and youth (1 year-3 months), he has so much potential to grow into a wonderful, loyal, and loving companion for the right household.Notes from a day out with a foster mom:Louis was a total love today. I never received so many kisses from a dog! Great passenger; loaded into the car and settled down quickly.Tolerated his bath and blow dry...just...Accepted pets and kisses from strangers! He enjoys being with his person; a total love bug. He wanted to run in the store but was a good boy considering his energy.Like all young dogs, Louis will need positive training and time to be the best he can be. He would thrive with an active adopter who understands how to train a young, large, smart dog. Right now, he is reactive to cats and other dogs.He has so much potential with the right person.Are you that lucky person? Come meet him during our walk-in hours Friday and Saturday or by appointment Monday through Thursday, 11-3. Adoption fees are $50 and include microchip, neuter, and all up-to-date vaccinations. Adoptions are always free for veterans.
