Lola is a 7-year-old Pomeranian with a gentle heart and a touching story. After losing her beloved owner, she was surrendered to a shelter where she was overwhelmed and terrified. Thankfully, Misfits Dog Rescue stepped in to give her a second chance at finding a safe and loving home.
Lola is a shy and independent little lady, weighing 12.7 pounds. She's currently working on shedding some of that extra weight with gentle walks—which she’ll benefit from both physically and emotionally. While she’s still very wary of people, she's slowly warming up in her foster home and is beginning to allow soft pets from those she trusts.
She would do best in a quiet, calm home with someone who’s home most of the time to help build her confidence. She would prefer to be an only dog and loves to go for walks. She will even bring you the leash. A securely fenced yard would be a dream come true for Lola, giving her the freedom to explore at her own pace. She's not a fan of loud noises (especially hair dryers), but she's very easy to bathe and brush.
Despite her initial shyness, Lola has so much love to give. Once she bonds with you, she’ll be your little shadow, following you from room to room and greeting you with the happiest smile when you return home. It’s a truly special kind of love—the kind that’s earned and cherished.
Lola is potty trained, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and recently had a dental cleaning. She gets along with other dogs but tends to keep to herself, so she'd be just as happy as an only pet.
