Breed: Maltese X DOB: 11/2017 Gender: female Altered: yes Coat: medium Size: small Color(s): black / tan Description:Hi, I'm Lily, a loving Maltese X who would love to find my forever home. I'm in need of a new home as I wasn't the right fit for the elderly couple who had me.I'm currently in a foster home with 2 other dogs. I'm learning a lot from my pack. If I try to test the boundaries, I'm quickly corrected by my pack. I haven't had any issues with any human friends or guests. I love to go on walks and I'm settling in with my regular routine. I even let my foster mom know when I want to play. I love stuffed toys and enjoy playing with them, although I have gutted a few, my foster mom stitches them back up for me to play with again. My foster mom thinks I'm benefiting from being in a pack who can show me the ropes and a regular routine. My foster mom has observed I don't care to have my paws touched; it's unknown why.I'm very active and I love to play with other dogs. If you have a fur baby in the home already, please be sure he/she loves to play too. I went to a home with another dog for a few days and all I wanted to do was play. I was too much for that dog and he ended up hiding in the backyard to avoid me. Another favorite past time of mine is to sit in someone's lap or snuggle up next to you; I love attention. I feel safe and secure sleeping in a crate. I'd be great to take on road trips as I enjoy car rides. I was excited to meet children when out on a walk; I let them pet me and I gave them kisses. I'm good with other dogs, but I do not know if I like cats.Although I'm ok with males outside of the home, I prefer my person to be female in the home. I tend to be leery of males who approach me in the home when I'm sitting in my person's lap. I will growl and show my teeth as a warning. I can also be a bit nippy when I want food or attention. I'll need someone willing to work with me to modify these behaviors.I am very eager to please and would love to find a home that will give me lots of love and attention. Could that be you? If so, please fill out an online application to meet me.*Thank you to Sharon for sponsoring this wonderful dog and giving her the chance for a better life.
