Meet Joy!
At just 2 years and 2 months old, Joy is a 52-pound bundle of potential who was recently rescued from the PG shelter. Now safe in a foster home, she’s taking time to decompress and adjust to the comforts of a loving environment.
True to her name, Joy has already brought a little light into the lives of those around her. With her sweet face and soulful eyes, she’s slowly beginning to trust and settle in. This gentle pittie girl is learning that the world can be kind—and we’re so excited to watch her blossom.
As she gets more comfortable, her foster family will be learning all about her personality, quirks, and what kind of forever home will help her thrive. For now, we’re giving her all the time and love she needs to feel safe.
Stay tuned—Joy’s story is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see her shine!
Shelter volunteers said this "
If there ever was a dog that was named properly, it's this girl, Joy! She is a beautiful girl — a red-head, if you will, with brilliant white highlights throughout. She is mesmerizing and if there was a sign for a dog, hers would be "will work for treats". She truly was pulling out all the stops to win my heart today. She's a wiggly girl knows her hand signals for sit and practicing down. She balls up into a 'U' for her butt scratches and gives up that belly for full on loving. Joy is one of those that you wonder how she ended up at a scary shelter... She is a happy bundle of joy and ready to please. Playgroup notes: "Joy" is steerable and was able to partake of playgroup for most of its duration due to her easy-going attitude."
