Journey and Gibbs are a truly special, bonded pair of Newfoundlands who have been together since puppyhood and are now looking for a forever home where they can stay side by side.
Journey is the picture of elegance and grace, carrying herself like a true princess. She’s incredibly polite — crossing her front paws delicately when she lays down, drinking her water so softly you can barely hear it, and taking treats from your hand with the gentlest of kisses. She’s sweet, independent, and a little stubborn at times, preferring to come when called… eventually! Journey is highly intelligent and has great manners — never getting on furniture and waiting patiently for her food when told. She loves people (including children), enjoys the company of other dogs, but has a strong prey drive, so a home without cats would be best. Whether she’s joining you on a 10km hike or surveying her "kingdom" from the highest lookout point in the backyard, Journey embraces every adventure with poise. Though she’s the "ruler of the roost," she always defers to Gibbs, recognizing him as her alpha and often waiting behind him for treats or food.
Gibbs is the definition of a laid-back, gentle soul. A true east coaster from Nova Scotia, he embodies the warm, welcoming nature the region is known for. Gibbs is happiest simply being near his people — often found lying by or even on your feet as you relax. If you move, your loyal foot-warmer will follow. He enjoys long walks, but would never say no to a shorter stroll if it means getting back to sprawling out beside you. Gibbs adores children, other dogs, and has excellent house manners. Like Journey, he won't climb onto the couch or bed, and he knows to leave dropped food alone until given the okay. His eager-to-please nature shines through when a biscuit is involved — he’ll come running at super-speed, tongue flying, if he hears the crinkle of a treat bag!
Together, Journey and Gibbs balance each other beautifully — her regal spirit and independence paired with his easy-going loyalty and love. They are looking for a home where they can continue to thrive side by side, bringing double the love, double the laughter, and double the joy.
Their adoption fee is $1,200 which includes their vaccines, preventatives, microchip, spay and neuter.
