Meet Jazzy â A Sweet Senior Searching for a Quiet Home Jazzy is a gentle, soulful senior pit bull with so much love still to give. At around 9 years old, sheâs mellowed into the kind of companion whoâs happiest soaking up the sunshine in a quiet backyard, going for a car ride, napping in a cozy spot by your feet, or joining you for a leisurely walk around the block. Sheâs fully housebroken, trustworthy when left alone, and perfectly content to snooze the day away in a crate or on your couch while you're out and about. Jazzy has been a deeply loved member of our family, and this decision hasnât come easily. Sheâs been loyal, affectionate, and easygoing for so many years in many environments around many small children and animals, never showing signs of aggression. As sheâs grown older, itâs recently become clear that the energy of a busy household with small children and other animals is no longer the right fit for her. A recent incident involving our young childâthankfully with no skin was brokenâwas an important signal from Jazzy: Sheâs ready for a slower, more peaceful life where she can fully relax and feel safe. Sheâs not a dog who demands muchâjust a calm home, gentle companionship, and someone who appreciates the quiet joy of her presence. Jazzy thrives in a predictable environment where she can follow her simple routines, take daily strolls, and curl up beside someone who adores her. Sheâs incredibly affectionate once she bonds with you, and she still has her little moments of playfulness and tail-wagging excitement. Weâre hoping to find Jazzy an adult-only home without other pets, where she can be the center of someoneâs world. She would be an ideal match for a retiree, someone who works from home, or anyone with a soft spot for senior dogs and a calm lifestyle. If youâre looking for a loyal, low-maintenance best friend to share your days withâone who will greet you with a wagging tail and rest her head in your lapâJazzy might be the companion you've been searching for. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Jazzy, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
