It has been 3 weeks and this girl has really come a long way. This sweet girl is Izzy. She is a 4-5 year old long haired chi. She weighs 4.5 lbs. She’s timid but doing well in her foster home and coming out of her shell more and more. She had horrible skin infections and hair loss. She also had dry eye and eye infections. Treatment has started and she’s already looking better. Eyes are clearing and lots of new hair growth. She likely will require artificial tears for the rest of her life. Izzy will need an older more patient home. She is fine with other dogs and doing well in the house. She is now utd, hw tested and spayed.
Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.
All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!
Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up.
Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you!
