Meet Hannah!
10-year-old Hannah was adopted five years ago from South LA Shelter. She is spayed and current on vaccinations. Unfortunately, a medical crisis in her family led to Hannah living temporarily with extended family and friends and in foster homes. Since returning home, her family has struggled to manage Hannah's dog selectivity and occasional reactivity when meeting new people in their home. After careful consideration and much effort, they have made the difficult decision to search for a home where Hannah will have the structure, consistency, and security she needs to thrive.
Hannah's dad shares: "This adorable girl has been a part of our family for five years. She loves cuddling with our kids, sunbathing any chance she can get, rolling around on her back, and snoozing next to me as I work each day. She also unfortunately needs a safe new home. Hannah needs a secure place with a pit-savvy owner who understands dog behavior and whom she will respect like she does with her current dog trainer and with the dog trainer who previously fostered her for 8 months without incident. Hannah is capable of being a good doggy citizen when she knows her place in the pack with a firm owner who can read her tells. We’ve had to accept that we are not equipped with the necessary pit bull knowledge to give her a home that is safe for her, our other dog, and visitors. I know it’s a big ask, but we wouldn’t have put all of these years of work into her, if she didn’t have an amazing little heart."
