HAM SAMMY probably would like to get his hands on one of those sandwiches! This gorgeous American Bulldog male arrived at the shelter with a female dog of the same age and breed mix at the end of August 2024. Her name is HONEYBUN. Both are listed as 5 to 7 years of age, but this boy could be much older. They take turns being the first one at the front of the kennel when staff walks by. HAM SAMMY is chocolate with white markings. Because he is already neutered he will be able to go home the same day that he is adopted. However, the two dogs are so closely bonded that the shelter will be requiring that both dogs be adopted together into the same home. They do not appear to do well without each other. NOTE: HAM SAMMY has a tumor that likely would be easy to have removed. If that is a concern for you, you can discuss it with the shelter Director before making your adoption decision. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That means taking a dog collar and leash with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt this handsome fellow. Even better, take a large dog crate with you to the appointment. Make that two large dog crates since you would be transporting this boy and his female companion to your home, too. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially in animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
