Gus is a gentle, timid soul who just needs a little time to warm up. He thrives in calm, low-chaos environment.   He craves love and affection. He wants to live his best life in a home where kind structure, love and reassurance can help him gain the confidence he needs to trust and be the best version of himself. There is nothing better than watching a rescue dog feel assured and come out of their shell and start to play and feel loved. THIS dog is the one you have been wanting to help when you came to a rescue website.   What Gus Needs: A quiet home where he can feel safe. Gus has excellent manners in the house and would like a warm bed to sleep in but he is accustomed to sleeping in a kennel when needed. Someone willing to help build his confidence. Gus thrives on building trust with his person. Once trust is established, there's nothing ths boy can't do! Basic training and structure. Gus walks beautifully on a leash and is a joy to take on walks, he is currently working on his recall.Gus is living with both female and male foster siblings of similar size and larger and reads cues like a champ. Our home address is in Michigan, however, the majority of our dogs are not located in Michigan. The physical location of each our our dogs is posted with the name of the pet or in the title area.  If you are within 4 hours of the pet, please be prepared to pick the pet up.
