Meet Granite!Born in July 2024, Granite is a male Lab mix with a heart as big as his paws and a personality that shines as bright as his name. Here's what his foster has to say,This playful, affectionate pup has done wonderfully with our three dogs and our neighbor's two — he knows how to have fun with the younger, energetic pups while respectfully giving space to those who prefer calmer company.Granite loves to run circles in the yard with his furry friends or bask in the sun while chewing on his favorite toy. He's an active puppy who also knows how to enjoy a good nap, often matching the energy of his humans — whether you're up and moving or snoozing in, he’ll be right by your side. He’s cuddly to the core, especially at bedtime. Expect to wake up with his face tucked sweetly into your neck or snuggled right up against you. This handsome boy is a treat-motivated learner who already knows “sit,” “shake,” and “down,” and he's working on adding more commands to his resume.Granite has a soft spot for peanut butter in a Kong and bananas as a snack, and he’ll happily spend hours gnawing on a good filled bone. He occasionally gets a little too excited when playing but responds well to gentle reminders. One of his quirks? He loves to carry a toy around for comfort. He’s doing great with potty training (minimal accidents!) and keeps his crate clean. While car rides make him a bit nervous, we're working on helping him feel more comfortable with travel.Granite would thrive in an active home with plenty of socialization, walks, and playtime — or in a home with a younger dog who enjoys rough-and-tumble play. He’s incredibly affectionate and absolutely adores human interaction, especially ear and head scratches. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and cuddly companion, Granite might just be your perfect match!Adoption applications can be submitted at ITVrescue.org.All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
