Meet Georgia! This resilient four-year-old Shih Tzu mix has already lived through more than most dogs ever should. Georgia was surrendered to the shelter in grave condition after being severely attacked by another animal. In a bittersweet twist of fate, her matted and neglected coat may have actually saved her. Vets believe it helped shield her from even worse injuries.
But Georgia’s past is now just that...the past. Her wounds have healed, her spirit is intact, and she's embracing her second chance at life with quiet grace. After all, dogs live in the moment, and Georgia is ready to move forward with love.
She’s been to doggie daycare and did wonderfully with all her canine friends. A little shy at first, she just needs some time and patience to come out of her shell. Once she does, she’ll steal your heart with her gentle soul and sweet demeanor.
Georgia is not a vocal dog, and she’s perfectly content being left alone. She’s past the high-energy puppy stage and lives for cozy snuggles and calm companionship. Life hasn’t been easy for this brave girl, but she’s a true survivor and she’s more than ready for her happy ending.
