Meet Elvis Emu!
Elvis Emu came to us from County of Sacramento Animal Care Services on September 12th to get a fresh start as a Frosted Face. He is around 13 years old, weighs 9 lbs., and is very sweet and gentle. He LOVES being cuddled, petted, and held.
After Elvis Emu arrived at FFF, he was diagnosed as diabetic. Please don't let this manageable condition keep you from missing out on this wonderful pup! We provide free lifetime medical care onsite at FFF Veterinary Hospital. As you can see in the video, it's easy-peasy to give Elvis his insulin injection while he eats.
Elvis Emu has been living in a Foster home for the past month, and we received a great update from his foster mom:
"What a turnaround Elvis has had! He has gone from a skinny, no energy dog to a robust, healthy, easy carefree, and affectionate dog. Seriously, Elvis is the easiest!
Simply put, Elvis eats great, sleeps great, is fully potty trained, walks on a leash, gives the sweetest kisses, loves to be
cuddled. and is great on his own. He has no separation anxiety, is good with kids and with other dogs. The first thing I see when I come home is his sweet face to greet me with a wagging tail and kisses.
Now that Elvis is on the right insulin dosage, he has leaps and bounds more energy now. It's amazing seeing him engage in his world!"
Please consider making Elvis a part of your family. He is a quiet little gem, waiting for a loving home to call his own!
