WATCH MY VIDEO...Our handsome gentleman Earle was transferred to our shelter from the county facility as a stray, so sadly his past is a mystery. What we do know is that 7-year-old Earle is a true sweetheart who is friendly, likes to be petted and LOVES getting treats. We are making sure to give him lots of those treats, because this poor fellow is currently underweight. Weâre not sure exactly what Earle has been through, but he does get startled and cowers if you raise your hand too quickly.Earle loves his walks, and is very spunky and energetic for an older dog! Even though he is a big boy, he walks very well on the leash. We do not know how he is with other pets, but so far he is not reactive to the other dogs in our kennels. Earle is also bravely undergoing heartworm treatment, and weâre here to support him every step of the way. His treatments are being provided by our veterinary staff and there is no cost to the adopter for this. Please donât let Earle spend another night wondering why heâs alone. If you are able to adopt or foster Earle, please fill out an application on our website www.humanebroward.com and then visit the shelter. Thanks to #9 Sam Bennett of the Florida Panthers, he has kindly paid Earle's adoption fee. Each time Sam scores a goal a shelter pet benefits! If you cannot adopt, please share his post and consider donating to his care. Our shelter is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL and opens daily at 11 a.m. If you have any questions call 954-989-3977.
