Dobby is a big goofball who just loves people!   He is a volunteer favorite - to meet him is to love him.  This guy is sweet and friendly to everyone, kids included. He wants to give kisses to every person he meets, and be snuggled close to you at home.  Dobby is SO EASY in the home!  He is polite, housebroken, and knows a ton of commands.  He will relax most of the day and is accustomed to being in a crate.  When you come to let him out he smiles and wags his tail.  As an "older" fella at about 5 1/2 years, he does not need a ton of exercise and is happy to get walked or play in the yard.  He’s 66 pounds of pure love. We suspect he is a Great Dane / terrier mix.   Dobby enjoys playing. He especially loves tug of war and fetch - he'll bring the toy back to you and expect you to tug on it for a couple of seconds, but once you tell him "Leave it" he’ll let go and start the game again. When playtime is over he has no problem calming down. He is very treat motivated, but he has no food aggression, so he will take any size treat from your hand gently.  He would love to sleep at the foot of your bed but he's perfectly happy in his own bed, especially if it’s placed in front of a door or window.  He can be dog selective so he is better as an only dog.PAW will support an adopter with training to ensure Dobby gets off to a good start in their home.PAW places animals in the MD, DC, northern VA, and southern PA area.
