Danu is a 3-year-old Shepherd mix and a total goofball! Weighing in at around 80 pounds, this gentle giant is playful, loves attention, and is looking for a new best friend. This goofy girl is house-trained and crate-trained—she is very smart and eager to please, so any future training will be a breeze, too. She does have some separation anxiety and may be vocal when left alone, so will need a home without shared walls (no apartments/townhomes). While medication has helped, she’s made great progress and continues to settle into her foster home. Danu does well with structure, companionship, and enrichment, and would thrive with a family that’s home often or has a flexible schedule.Danu loves to make friends, so she would be a great family dog! She has previously lived with young children (ages 2 and 5). She has done well when living with dog-savvy cats, but we recommend a home without feline friends just to be safe. She LOVES meeting other dogs—she's enthusiastic but respectful during introductions. She’s a medium-energy pup who enjoys a long walk, backyard fetch sessions, and chewing on her favorite bone. She would benefit from yard time but has done well on a long leash at home. When she's all tuckered out, she loves some quality cuddle time—she loves to rest her head in your lap! If you're looking for a new sidekick, Danu is waiting to meet you!If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450.
