Daisy was surrendered to the shelter because her owner was not able to afford the medical care Daisy was desperately in need of. At the shelter Daisy had one of her rear legs amputated du to an old injury that did not heal properly; making her a tripod! Though Daisy is recovering well and is in such high spirits it is important for her to find a home that is able to accommodate her needs, especially while she continues to heal. Slippery floors and a bunch of stairs she has to climb may be tough for Daisy. Daisy is a young and playful girl who is so ready to find her forever home! She is incredibly sweet and has taken everything weâve thrown at her like a champ. Daisy was a family dog previously and was said to be great with children. She is a social butterfly and does not have a shy bone in her body! Daisy has not lived with other dogs but has lived with cats and did good with them! During her time in the shelter she has been around many dogs and seems to enjoy their company! We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed. We do anticipate Daisy being excited to play so please keep in mind that it is important for her to keep her energy level down while she continues to heal! Daisy has been in the shelter for almost a month and will need time to adapt to her new home and learn her new routine! Daisy is potty trained but may have an accident in the home if left alone for too long. She is not crate trained but could benefit from crate training because she was known to chew on toys that weren't hers when left alone. She does walk well on a leash and knows the cue âsitâ. We adore Daisy and are so happy to see her thrive. She doesn't let having three legs get in her way! Her humble personality is inspiring, and we know if you meet her you will fall in love with her too! If you feel that your home would be a good fit for sweet Daisy, we would love for you to meet her.
