Hi there! My name is Coco and I am a 3-year-old, 65 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when left home alone and do best if I am crated near my foster siblings.
I have done well with men, women, and older children. I am extremely affectionate and love to be snuggling or at least resting on your feet when we are relaxing at home. I am comfortable with handling all over my body, although I may try to pull away for my mouth or paws. I do well with visitors, though I will bark and run towards any doorways where people knock or enter and am working with my foster family to counter condition a new, calmer response!
I do well with other dogs who can coexist peacefully and understand social cues. I would love to have a yard where I can safely explore and have some calm outside time. I absolutely love to fetch! A ball is my favorite toy, but all other toys are a close second. I am not a fan of sharing my toys with other dogs and will communicate such appropriately. I have a strong prey drive and cannot go to a home with cats.
I HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS: I have some food sensitivities and require a prescription diet with pumpkin supplementation or I experience diarrhea, vomiting, and weight loss. I occasionally experience itchiness which improves with Apoquel medication. I currently take daily fluoxetine to help with some of my anxiety.
I am intelligent and eager for engagement with my humans, so I would love to find someone willing to continue my training! I have learned sit and come. I pull slightly on lead. I like going out for car rides, but I may get carsick at times. I am a sweet, smart, fun girl who is ready to find my perfect adoptive family—could that be with you?

Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states. Visit www.echodogs.org/available-dogs to see more of our dogs. Transportation for the adopted dog IS available. Remember, we are an all-volunteer foster rescue organization - we DO NOT have a physical shelter to visit. Our minimum adoption donation is $350. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. Puppies under 6 months old may not be spayed/neutered. This would be the responsibility of the adopter at their own expense. Proof of spay/neuter will be required!
