Meet Dublin – The Sweetheart with a Silly Honk!
Dublin is a 14 week old Manchester Terrier–Australian Cattle Dog with big puppy eyes, a heart full of love, and a hilarious honk-like sound that’s somewhere between a squeaky toy and a frog with feelings. Born in rescue on January 10th, 2025, this little guy has been showered with care and cuddles since day one. With his mom weighing just 25 pounds, we expect Dublin to be the perfect medium-sized companion—small enough for your lap, but big enough to join you on all your adventures.
Playful, affectionate, and wonderfully goofy, Dublin is the kind of pup who lights up the room the second you walk in. He starts his day around 7:00 AM with a potty break and a zoomy session with his foster family's hound. While he's still figuring out the fine art of leash walking, he’s curious and eager to learn—as long as there are treats involved. Dublin is super treat-motivated and loves working for peanut butter in his Kong toy, which also helps him settle in his crate or X-pen (he'll fuss a bit at first, but quickly calms down).
During the day, he naps in his X-pen while his humans work, and in the evenings, he’s a couch cuddler extraordinaire. He enjoys lounging next to you, getting belly rubs, and basking in the glow of being someone’s favorite.
Dublin’s still a puppy, so he’s learning the ropes of house training and good manners. He knows where the pee pads are and hasn’t had accidents in his crate. He’s working on not jumping up and is already starting to sit nicely for pets. Like most puppies, he’s curious about wood furniture and the occasional piece of bark in the yard, but he responds well to gentle redirection.
Socially, Dublin is a sweetheart. He was initially unsure around his loud foster sibling but warmed up quickly and wanted to play. On walks, he may bark a little at other dogs—more out of nerves than anything else—but once he meets them, he’s all wagging tails and friendly curiosity. He hasn’t been around cats, but with his smart, eager-to-please personality, we think he’d learn boundaries quickly.
In short, Dublin is an affectionate, cuddly, and downright lovable little dude. Whether you’re a first-time dog owner or a seasoned pup parent, he’s an easygoing companion who just wants to be close to his people, chew on a toy, and maybe make you laugh with his silly honk-croak.
If you’re looking for a sweet, medium-sized buddy to grow up with, snuggle with, and go on adventures with, Dublin is your guy!
