Charger spent the beginning of his time outside running around the play yard. This good boy has great boundaries when he plays around his people! Charge is, apparently, equally adept at playing with his doggie friends, as he has participated in both playgroups with other dogs at the shelter. He also passed his dog test! Charger seems like he would really enjoy playing fetch (if you are willing to teach him to bring the ball or frisbee back). When a toy was thrown up into the air, Charger leaped up high and almost caught it midair. This boy is a stunning athlete with tons of potential who would most likely love joining you for any fun and games. He might even be a good jogging buddy. Charger walked briskly on the lead, at a faster pace, and while he was ahead of his person, he was not pulling. Charger jumped up a few times while playing outside, but he was not rough when doing it. Charger is a happy, joyful boy and his exuberance is contagious. Charger was slow to respond the first few times he was asked to sit, but this quick study improved quickly. Charger’s love of treats, which he takes very gently, will make teaching him fun tricks and games a breeze. Charger also enjoys human attention and affection. After he ran around for a bit he also spent some time standing next to his person, looking for pets and possibly treats. Charger likely didn’t have the finer things in life and so he’s protective over his food. He is currently with a professional trainer and his issues are already being resolved. (dogs should never be fed with other animals)
Charger is an absolute Joy. He has a gorgeous brown coat with some cute white markings. His eyes are a beautiful golden color, and his expression and gaze are open and warm. He is a loving boy waiting for a home where he can share his heart with you.
