Buddy is a very large, gentle, and easy-going

dog. He is happy and friendly and good with other dogs. Buddy needs a moderate amount of exercise and will require obedience training. With a large home and secured yard, and humans who understand his need to remain exercised and social, Buddy will make an excellent family pet!



He is eager to please, walks well on leash (medium to large-sized humans only, please) and

is house-trained. Buddy will enjoy older children but is too large and enthusiastic for little ones. He has a very sweet disposition, is smart, eager to please, and very funny. The world is his oyster!



Livestock guardian dogs are popular in rural settings, but Buddy is a house dog. Since he has not been mentored by a mature working LGD, he is almost certainly clueless about appropriate behavior with small animals - no cats or small dogs please. Buddy is all about being with his humans and having fun!


Buddy will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Our adoptions begin with a Foster-To-Adopt period, which is not feasible with remote placements.
