PO Box 101 Gracie Station, New York, NY, 10028, United States
Brooklyn (NY) is a female Presa Canario estimated to be 4 years old at the time of intake in Januay 2025. Brooklyn is up to date on core vaccinations and is microchipped. She will be spayed prior to joining her forever home unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Brooklyn is good with people of all ages, including children, other dogs and even cats. This beautiful girl's life has been spent as a money making machine by a backyard breeder. She was starved and then kicked to the curb when she was no longer of any use to the breeder. Ironically, unbeknownst to anyone, Brooklyn was pregnant at the time she was surrendered. The day Brooklyn arrived at the shelter from which we rescued her was the best day of Brooklyn's life so far. She has delivered her puppies and they are all now safely tucked away in a foster home where they will remain until the pups are old enough to start their own lives. Brooklyn will safely gain weight until she has reached her optimal weight (which is estimated to be 110 lbs.) all while caring for her puppies. Brooklyn is super sweet, and she's great with everyone. We would like to have Brooklyn's forever home waiting for her when she's ready to go, so if you are looking for a giant hunk of love, please consider Brooklyn! Because Brooklyn is a giant breed, we are looking for an experienced giant breedMastiff/Presa Canario adopter. Please apply online to adopt Brooklyn (NY) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. / Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
