This stunning 5-year-old Catahoula/Boxer/Dane mix may be big and tall, but his heart is even bigger! With his striking dark grey mottled coat and soulful eyes, Blaze turns heads everywhere he goes—but it’s his goofy, loyal personality that truly steals the show.
Blaze is housebroken, crate trained, and very smart—especially when food is involved. (Heads up: this tall boy is a champion countersurfer, so you’ll want to keep your snacks out of reach!) He’s also incredibly ball-motivated—no, seriously. Blaze lives for fetch and will play until you call it quits. He’d thrive in a home with a yard where he can run and chase to his heart’s content.
He’s great with kids, has lived with cats, and gets along well with most dogs. He does best with female dogs and calm or submissive males, especially with proper introductions. He has LOVED playing with the smaller fosters he's lived with (think 10-25 lbs). While he walks well on leash and doesn’t pull much, Blaze can be leash-reactive when other dogs get too close, so an experienced handler or someone willing to continue working with him would be ideal.
Blaze would love to be your adventure buddy—riding in the car, going for walks, or just hanging out close by. After a good fetch session, he’s all about snuggling up for a nap next to his favorite person.
If you're looking for a playful, food-loving, affectionate companion who's equal parts goofy and sweet, Blaze might just be your perfect match. Apply to meet him today—he’s ready to steal your heart (and maybe your sandwich if you leave it unattended)!
